Procedure Text

Procedure Text

      Procedure text is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps. It explains how people perform different processes in a sequence or steps. This text uses simple present tense, often imperative sentence. It also uses the temporal conjuction such as first, second, then next.

·   The generic structures of procedure text are :
a.)    Goal/aim (or title)
b.)    Materials (not required for all procedural text)
c.)     Steps (the actions that must be taken)

·   Language Features
a.)    Using imperative sentences.
b.)    Using action verb.
c.)     Using temporal conjuction.
d.)    Using adverb
How To Make Sandwich (aim/goal)

You need (materials)
.2 slices of bread
.Honey
.Peanut butter
.A Banana

What you should do are:
1.)  Take two slices of bread
2.)  Spread peanut butter
3.) Cut up banana on to small slices and put them on one of the slices.
4.) Put the other slices of bread on top
